Planes, Trains and Automobiles – for $50 Billion
Maybe Obama thinks he is Arnold Schwarzenegger and this is a remake of the 1987 movie but he has a couple of things wrong. First he is imitating a president from the 1920-30’s. Second he doesn’t realize it doesn’t take $50B to make a movie!
The unemployed and under employed work force in America are not road builders. How many tech workers or auto workers are fit to work 12 hours days of physical labor? How many know how to run a cement mixer or asphalt steam roller? I doubt very many.
If I were President at least I would put some creativity in my budget.
How about a 200MPH train across America! Something that would combine the skills of our workforce – those that are technically savvy and those that have the skills of craftsman? A project like this might even get the American people behind it. Something that would create a brand new industry in the U.S. and use the skills from every segment of the un/under employed!
No that wouldn’t work. We can’t have any “Change”. We can’t do anything different. We are just going to sit at home watching re-runs.
