The title of this story is “DC to America: You Can’t Handle the Truth” Look at these quotes:
”First, policymakers don’t really have the answers”
“The financial markets are predicated on academic theory that is faulty, and now policymakers are (effectively) trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together again”
“Policymakers don’t have that luxury since their actions have real world consequences”
“There doesn’t seem to be anybody in Washington with the leadership skills of Chesley Sullenberger, the hero of USAir Flight 1549”
From the contents of this story its more like DC DOESN’T KNOW THE TRUTH! So how can they tell us?
It becomes more apparent everyday with the announcements coming from the White House. Here’s my view – and probably most Americans: The policy makers are making good on their promise of CHANGE. They sit around everyday creating a new story for the next day’s press conference. Change is supposed to be a verb – used in a sentence to describe an action and that’s exactly what we are getting- constant change. Problem is our Government officials is using Change as an adjective – to describe what they are doing. There is a big difference between doing something and describing something. It takes a little more brain power to create change than to describe change.
Change for the sake of change is not what need. We need change that improves the lives of every American. We need all Americans to demand their elected officials adopted the Peoples Platform – real change that affects American taxpayers in a positive way – not just the elected greedy.
