The Purpose of the Conservative Resistance

I continue to be disillusioned with the so-called “Conservative Resistance”. Below are my comments to a post on ReTeaParty (http://www.reteaparty.com/groups/the-right-movement/wire).

Please take note that by its very nature the concept of a conservative resistance is political. I do not choose to take one side or the other. I prefer to present a voice that rings true to every reader and motivates you to write your words down on this site. I firmly believe together we can return our Country to a government run by The People……. I tend to agree with the entry in ReTeaParty about the value of “these sites”.

I have come to learn in the last week ReTeaParty is only about DISAGREEMENT. A forum for disagreement stated directly as this sites mission is not enough (http://www.reteaparty.com/2009/04/28/the-tea-party-movement/). And if this is the, “purpose in the Conservative Resistance”, then it, like all other similar efforts will fail.

Saying we disagree with status quo is nothing new, there have always been groups who disagree with whatever party is in power. The authors and supporters of the original Declaration of Independence wrote their issues on paper creating a platform for everyone to read and give support or dissent. That document inspired a revolution by giving people more than words of malcontent.

We must learn from history and realize what worked before will work again. To return this country to The People, we cannot stand idle waiting for someone to vet candidates (as suggested by a writer on ReTeaBag.com) while some vetting is necessary to ascertain the legitimacy of a candidate, vetting a candidates views is superfluous and a waste of time. Too many times we have seen elected officials get into office on one set of ideals and objectives only to change their views to follow the money and power proffered by the powers that be- . – no different than the King of England not so many years ago.

We The People must declare our vision for the Country we want to live in and demand compliance with the objectives set forth from us to them- not the other way around. Our voices, keyboards and votes must instill concepts and visions into the majority of Americans in a way that eliminates CHANGE from any political party or candidate once in office – from the local school board to the President of the United States.

With the support of others who believe we are tired of the consistent failures of every elected politician, we have done more than provide a forum for “disagreeing”, we have taken the time to -write our own Declaration of Independence Version 2. We have defined the issues as they relate to a free people. We have carefully prepared our words based on issues that can be implemented with the least amount of dollars from the American people.

No, we cannot agree to disagree. We cannot simply allow our voices to join the masses that have nothing better to do than yell. He who yells the loudest will not overcome those with the most money. We must be smart in our approach. We must be diligent. We must not be transparent as the people need to see us and hear us. We must speak in simple terms but with a force as strong or stronger than our ancestors.

Times have not changed since 1776. We can allow history to repeat itself in the form of continued government interference, or we can repeat history in the form of organized rebellion. The choice is yours. What are you afraid of?
